When an ad doesn’t work the first time around, most people blame the system and start saying “This paid ad stuff doesn’t work.”
Their patience levels are shorter than the average teenager.
The problem isn’t the platform or a technological error. The ad is the problem.
They have several components and if one is bad, then your chances of success will plummet.
But to make sure that doesn’t happen, you need to implement A/B Split Testing into your ads.
What is A/B Split Testing?
A/B split testing is putting two different ads side by side to see which performs better.
Here’s an example:
One ad has an audience with a specific location, narrow age range and high budget.
The other targets a whole country, with a large age range and lower budget.
It could be the same thing for the headline, overall text, offer, call to action, creative, everything.
It gives you an idea of what does and doesn’t work. It’s like a lifetime's worth of mistakes all in a short amount of time.
One ad may end up getting more sales than the other which points you in the right direction.
Why Is This Necessary?
Instead of making one ad and having it go wherever the wind blows while wasting all that money, you could test several different ads to see what works with your audience.
Here’s the thing, there’s a market out there HUNGRY for your business.
Imagine if you could reach them in less time, with less money spent.
That’s exactly what a/b split testing does.
Not only that, you’ll boost your conversion rates while spending less.
The fact that no one uses it is mind boggling.
Not only is it used for ads, but other parts of business as well.
What Else Can Be Tested?
Those emails you send, websites you have, landing pages can all be tested side by side.
Try out different texts and approaches to see what catches your audience's attention.
The smallest tweak can be the difference between high and low conversion rates.
Go Out and Start Testing
The way to start is by doing.
Put together a few campaigns, see what works best and keep testing until you find the perfect ad.
In the end you’ll boost your sales and convert all your leads.
