The Biggest Mistake Any Business Can Make

I’m sure you’ve heard of horror stories that include technology and problems people can have.

I’ll tell you a quick story: Once upon a time there was a business making tons of money every day off their marketing.

They would spend hundreds of dollars a day to run ads, with an amazing ROI.

They were happy and content with everything going on.

It was smooth sailing and constantly growing, until their ad account got shut down.

Their account stopped working, ads stopped running, and they were making no money.

People were running around panicking, thinking of what to do.

They had no backup plan to solve this problem. So what did they do?

Stopped running ads. Tons of money was lost and their marketing journey had to restart.

This all started because they relied on one source to get leads.

Things happen to our plans or technology.

The hard part is we can’t stop it from happening sometimes.

But what makes it worse is not having any backup plan so you can keep business rolling.

You're basically asking your business to fail.

The Single Worst Number In Business

It’s very easy to look at these tech companies and blame them for things that happen.

I’ve caught myself doing it as well. Something would happen and I would think “I can’t do anything”.

Guess what?......I was 100% WRONG.

The problem wasn’t a glitch in the system or a tech company, the problem was me relying on one strategy of marketing.

It’s not just marketing, but everything in business.

You may have:

  • One employee working for you

  • One big client

  • One method for getting leads

One of these things isn’t good enough.

That employee can walk in the next day and call it quits. What’s next after that?

That client could cancel the next day, and that method for leads could not work at all.

When you rely on one thing in your business, it’s vulnerable to getting crushed.

It’s like a ticking time bomb counting down to blow everything up.

When this happened to me, I made sure it would never happen again.

Make Your Marketing Unbreakable

Now I always look to eliminate the “ones” in my marketing.

If there is one of anything, it’s a threat to any company.

Don’t get hooked on something thinking “it’s the only way”.

I promise you, there is much more than “one way” in marketing.

Maybe you have Google ads that are working for you. That’s good.

You should also check out:

  • Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram)

  • Youtube

  • Cold email outreach

  • Direct mail

  • Warm and cold calls

  • And trust me, lots more.

There are unlimited ways to do marketing, don’t get hooked on one single way.

Having back up plans makes your marketing unbreakable.
