Once you go through this, you will understand the basic, simple formula, to become a master of getting attention, then blow your competition out of the water.
It’s never easy once you first start, and I can relate. You run ads on social media and the results don’t make the cut. You wonder what could be the problem. You’re throwing money on Facebook, for example, and you’re thinking “this has to work right”.
The thing most people get wrong in business is they think throwing money at things will make them millions of dollars overnight. While I wish that could happen, that’s not how it works.
So these people throw away their money and don’t see results. Then they wonder what could possibly be wrong.
It’s taken a lot of examples, a lot of trial and error to have just a basic understanding of what gets people's attention towards your company.
For a while I was wrong. I thought what everyone else was doing was right, But I came to realize they were wrong.
Common mistakes people make
At the end you’ll understand the simplicity it takes to get attention, But what people do wrong is over complicate things.
When I started, I thought you needed all these fancy words, maybe give AI a shot and see what they can do. It made me think this was going to be a complicated process, but boy was I wrong.
Understand first that it’s okay to be wrong and question if what you’re doing is right. This happened to me when I began, and it’ll happen to everyone at some point.
I’ll give you a quick example on the average ad. I’m sure you’ve seen ads pop up on your phone like Coca Cola, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds… you get the point.
Whenever you see these ads you're like “Get this off my screen”. I’m the same way so trust me, you’re not alone. Sometimes these ads ask questions and eventually you begin to hate these ads because they just want to sell you on a random product or service.
These ads become annoying because you don’t care for what they sell. They serve no purpose to your needs.
The mistake is these ads don’t sell us on a solution to our problems.
I had no clue what this meant when I first started. I understood ads were annoying but thought they worked and gave the company their money.
One thing my professor told me in the beginning was “ The reason we all hate ads is because they sound salesy”.
I had no clue what he meant at first, but as he went on, it changed my entire view point.
Why do most ads sound “Salesy”?
I’m sure when you buy a new phone, for example, you love seeing the features like having a really good camera, a long battery life, and the screen being really bright.
But why do you really buy a phone?
If something happens like a car accident, or you're out in the middle of nowhere, you need a phone to call family or emergency.
You buy a phone because you can contact emergencies and anyone else at any point of time, with a simple click of a button.
Ads sound salesy because companies advertise on meaningless features and gimmicks. Most of the time they throw words together and call it an ad.
If you want ads to bring results and measure up to your ad money spent, they need to be straight to the point, neat, but yet simple.
So, What is the simple, yet game changing trick?
The trick is to advertise on the solution your product or service brings to the audience.
You don’t need fancy words, or meaningless features. Just simple copy that people can understand, but serves its solution to people's problems
To understand the solution in whatever your company sells, put yourself in the audience's shoes and ask yourself what you would want to see.
What would make you want to buy from them?
I like ads to be measurable, which means they pay for the daily costs to run them.
I can guarantee by using this trick, your ads will be measurable, and more.
No more meaningless features, no sloppy copy. Straight to the point ads that get results
Any company can get amazing results, and this is doable for any business, even if you're just starting. If you want to know how I would do it for your company, get in touch with me.
