In life there are things we need and things we just want. The things we need, we don’t take the time to look at any features or prices, we just get it.
When it comes to selling, there is only one way to do it.
The goal is to make people feel like they NEED what you sell.
If you make people feel like what you sell is a want, your business will die in no time.
This article is going to show you exactly how to find the sweet spot in selling what you offer, and have successful marketing going forward.
What's The Wrong Way Of Selling?
We see it all the time but never realize it’s the wrong way of selling.
Here’s the problem, if you sell and make people feel like they need what you have, they won’t care about any features or discounts, they’ll just buy it.
When companies have this opportunity in front of them, they usually mess it up.
They focus on selling at the lowest price possible, and focus on showing off the useless features and gimmicks that no one cares about.
It’s all complete garbage. If you keep lowering your price more and more, eventually you get zero profits coming in, and your business ends right then and there.
It’s a bidding war these days for the lowest price. You’ll see it in any niche. That’s why if you follow everything in this article it’ll be so easy to win.
I get it, we all want good deals. But most people would choose value for what they are getting over low prices.
You would be surprised at the amount of people who don’t even look at the price and buy things anyway.
That happens due to the way it's sold to them.
“Sell Me This Pen”
We’ve all seen the sort of challenge of people asking another person to sell them a pen.
It might be a bit cringey, but it’s a great example of what I’m trying to say.
If you focus on the pen being durable, having long lasting ink, it can turn 13 different colors, then you won’t sell anything.
No one cares about that stuff. No one will buy from you.
It’s more than what you sell, it’s how you sell it.
You have to erase the thought of “low prices” and “really cool features”.
You need to think of the end result your product or service provides.
If I have to sell you a pen, here’s my main points:
If you have a thought and no pen around you, by the time you get another pen that thought will be gone
That one thought or one note could be a game changer towards your business.
It’s either you have a list of notes and thoughts, or you have none of that remembered and lose a lot of valuable information.
Not one time I talked about features or prices. Didn't even talk about the pen itself.
It’s all about the end result you provide for people. What will they get out of it?
How To Change Your Business Forever
It doesn’t matter if you sell a product or service.
You need to let people know the end result of what you offer.
Sell the NEED, not the want.
Ask yourself, Why should someone buy what I have?
Show people the end result of what you have, and make that the reason why they need it.
Show them what they miss out on without your service. They’ll have to buy from you at that point.
It’s really that easy, and no one else does it.
It’ll give your business more profits, and more customers, all because you gave your business value.
