You Need To Avoid This Mistake In Business

We live in a world where people want things easy and try to avoid hard work.

Excuses fly out faster than you can think.

“It’s hard”

“I’m tired”

“I don’t want to do this”

People even do this in business and wonder why nothing works.

They have one idea, one strategy, one of everything.

The number 1 is the biggest killer to any business.

I know what you're thinking: “How does a number even mean anything”.

I thought the same thing since numbers are usually a good thing.

But this article will explain how doing little work and having one of everything, can ruin your business, and what you can do to win.

Sooo Why Is This Number Bad?

People who succeed in business know you always need backup plans for everything.

Business is competitive and new companies are started everyday.

That one idea you have could be one-upped by a newer company, leaving you with nothing.

Once that happens, what's next?

Yeah you guessed it….nothing.

Here’s a few examples:

If you have one single service or product, you're limiting yourself pretty hard.

If you have only one marketing strategy, what will you do when that goes to nothing?

If you only take one client at a time, you're wasting your life away.

You need to understand this: The majority of business owners are LAZY

People are lazy in general. They want things easy and handed to them.

It’s so easy to win over everyone, yet people choose to watch Netflix with a pint of ice cream.

If your one of the people who truly wants to win, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Write down lots of ideas in every category of your business and narrow it down to things that increase your chances to win.

  2. Have backup plans for everything. If one marketing campaign doesn’t work, move on to the next. Eventually a campaign will work. If someone is working with you and decides they’ve had it, make a plan for that exact moment and what to do.

  3. Please, please, please have more than one of everything in business. Offer more than one service/product to widen your horizons. Have several marketing strategies, several clients, several employees, several everything.

Don’t rely on one thing in business. Some ideas or strategies don’t work, and that's ok.

But if you have one of anything in business, you're asking the world to body slam you into the ground.

It’s like starting a business and having a plan of failing.

Have more than one of everything in business, and you will have the answers to any problem that comes along.

One last thing: If you put that extra effort in, it can mean the difference between being average, and on top of everyone else.

For now - let's get back to work, and eliminate the number 1.

Michael
